NETELLER
Please forward this email to your IT development team as well.

Dear Merchant,

As you may be aware, the Second Payment Services Directive (“PSD2”) introduced a requirement for payment service providers such as NETELLER to comply with new rules regarding strong customer authentication (“SCA”), which aim to improve security and reduce fraud in online payments.

These rules will require NETELLER members to use two out of the three following forms of authentication when carrying out certain transactions using the NETELLER service:
  1. Possession: This is something which only that person has, such as a credit or debit card, or their mobile phone.
  2. Knowledge: This is something which only that person knows, such as a PIN number or a password.
  3. Inherence: This is something which is unique to that person, such as a fingerprint or other biometric feature.
In order to comply with this requirement, we will ask you to integrate a new API by 15 May 2020, in order to be able to continue to accept transactions from NETELLER members after that date. After 15 May 2020 we will no longer support the previous API.

We will provide further details of the new API in due course, but we wanted to let you know about this now so that you can begin to plan your integration efforts accordingly.

Your NETELLER merchant account and NETELLER merchant agreement with us will remain unaffected.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact your usual account manager or email our Merchant Services team at merchantsupport@paysafe.com.

Regards
The NETELLER Team
